Rebecca tried to stare up into the clouds, though the glare filtered through her glasses rather easily. She did suppose it was just a good thing, Sierra hated going out in the sun - the yeti coated Tokota got hot so easily. So while Sierra would deal with the heat there were times that Rebecca felt bad. The handler could only imagine it being like wearing a thick winter coat during the summer. She would be sweating so much with that! The girl smiled adjusted her glasses and pulling her hand through her hair. She moved over to Sierra and gave the giant tokota a pet on the side of her face. Sierra let out a happy huff as Rebecca pulled a treat out of her bag to give it to her. Today they were going out and exploring a bit of the tundra, studying was important to her and maybe Sierra would find something good at that.

They were just about to leave the house, Rebecca had finished brushing and getting Sierra all dressed up. One of her favorite things honestly, because the uniquely tundra tokota was one of Rebecca’s favorites. Sure she loved a lot of things but her competitive nature just put it in her that she needed the best of the best tokota’s. Sierra was a yeti so to add onto that at some point she wanted to make sure her tokota was getting a happy and fulfilling life. Which for some others they could say. As they left and went towards the treeline, Sierra also wondered where her tamer was going to be taking her today. They’d travelled these woods many times, so there wasn’t much else to explore in them. Unless they went past - there were some hills just past here bordering the river. If they went past that then they were talking.

Rebecca felt happy with the crunch underneath her boots. The onset of fall meant thicker snow, watching as Sierra walked next to her. The tamer then grabbed hold gently of the tokota and hopped onto her. The tokota shook her mane quickly, adjusting herself to the feeling of her tamer upon her back. She rolled her shoulders a bit, giffing a huff as she looked at Rebecca or at least turned her head back to turn to her tamer. Rebecca smiled, pushing on her glasses before she urged Sierra on with a hand. So they were going beyond the hills today? This excited the tokota, a smile on her face as she barked. Then beginning to run moving her momentum forward as quickly as she could.

Sierra was happy to feel the wind moving through her fur, her paws heavily hitting the snow. Scattering the white frozen water all over the place as she grinned. Rebecca did a good job of holding on tightly to the running tokota. Dodging and weaving through the trees, she knew that the fast creature was simply enjoying it. The cloudy day right now was filling the two of them with a feeling that not even Rebecca could quite put words to. A bit of euphoria was mixed into their feelings as Rebecca could just feel it coming off of Sierra.

Sierra only began to slow down when she felt like she was getting tired. She was reaching the edge of the forest anyway and beyond that point was all new territory to her. As her paws pushed into the snow the yeti tokota had to stop to take a deep breath. Her chest heaving as Rebecca encouragingly pet the side of her head. Her hand moving swiftly through her long locks of fur. Sierra barked happily with delight as she softly began to walk over the hills. The vision of trees began to fall away and now there was simply all open land. She took in a deep breath as Rebecca stepped off of her. Placing a hand over her eyes as she looked into the distance. There was a lot of unexplored land past this and she was all the more excited to go exploring in it.

“Let’s go Sierra. Lead the way.” Rebecca told the tokota. As Sierra nodded her head, she brimmed with pride. If this was the chance to get some more treats as well then she was going to take it. As the tokota began to walk forward, she moved over the snowy hill to the edge of a river. Listening to the water come flowing in, as beyond it there was a field of snow. Must have been that during the spring it sprouted a beautiful meadow. From the looks of it there was a few lonely trees in the distance as well. How were they suppose to explore somewhere if there really wasn’t anywhere to go?

Sierra did suppose they could just move around in the snow a bit. However Rebecca again had to climb onto her back. As Sierra then made her way through the water. Placing one foot in first, the coldness of the water made her shiver. Paw pads scraping against the bottom of the water, she waded along as the water only just reached over her stomach. Her head was higher than usual to avoid drowning, even as a slight feeling of panic overcame her. As soon as she got to the other side she was relieved. Climbing onto shore and Rebecca jumping off the Yeti tokota shook herself free of the water that tried to cling to her coat. Now she was all puffed up.

“You can take a break Sierra.” Rebecca said as she turned to the tokota. Sierra looked at her with a soft grin on her face. A break? That meant play time, as the tokota came forward and pawed her tamer. She ran off into the snow, created a large indent of the path in this white field. The cloudy white sky above them just adding to the nearly empty tranquil feeling of the place that they were in. Sierra let her breath escape her, as she looked back to see Rebecca trying to catch up through the paths that the tokota was creating. This was actually turning out to be quite the fun game of tag.

Rebecca laughed as Sierra stopped suddenly. The tamer running directly into the beast as they both fell into the snow. The tamer’s glasses almost fell off as she breathed against her black hair that fell forward. Sierra leaned her head forward and gave  a brisk lick on Rebecca’s cheek. A sign of affection as Rebecca got up and wiped off the snow that had decided to attach itself to her clothing. As she caught her breath Sierra stood up as well, sitting down and watching her tamer to see what they were going to do next.

“Well, let me know when you want to go home.” Rebecca said as she lifted her arms and then let them rest upon her sides once more. Sierra wanted to play in the snow some more before they decided to depart from here. The tokota stood up and headed towards the rather lonely single tree. Moving over she noticed the snow had all melted around it. Roots perking up thick as her leg. As she curiously sat beside it she looked at its bare branches. The tokota leaned her paw against it. She wondered if it was dead? Or perhaps it lost its leaves all early in the fall due to the snow. That was also a possibility.
